Admissions Criteria
Sojourn at Seneca provides short-term inpatient psychiatric care for seniors aged 55 and older who need stabilization in an acute care setting. Our facility is equipped to treat a variety of conditions, including:

Suicidal/homicidal thoughts

Delusions and/or hallucinations

Step 3: Review and Admission

Patient information will be promptly reviewed with the psychiatrist to determine if admission is appropriate and to ensure criteria have been met.

Our intake coordinator will contact you with the disposition.

The referring facility will arrange for transportation.

A negative COVID test is required prior to admission.
-
A pink slip must be completed prior to admission (if applicable).

A nurse-to-nurse report must be conducted prior to transport.

We recommend bringing personal hygiene items, comfortable clothing, and any necessary medical documents. Please note that personal belongings such as cellphones and purses are not allowed on the unit and will be securely stored.
