Standard Charges (Machine-Readable File)
The file sjourn standard charges.csv contains the list of charges for services provided by Sojourn at Seneca Hospital as of September 2025. Please note that a hospital “charge” is not the same as the “expected payment.” A charge represents the billed amount for a service; however, hospitals typically receive much less in actual payment.

Charges are determined by the type of care delivered and may vary among patients receiving the same service due to individual factors such as complications or differing treatment needs. These variations are normal and expected. Hospitals routinely update their charges to meet new regulations. Charge updates are published twice a year — on September 1st and March 1st.

Although the listed prices apply uniformly to all patients, actual charges for a specific patient may differ based on a range of circumstances.
For additional guidance, the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) offers a booklet titled “Understanding Healthcare Prices: A Consumer Guide,” which provides information on comparing provider prices, finding answers to pricing questions, and managing out-of-pocket expenses.
